The event, free to the public, offered a delightful array of complimentary refreshments including drinks, popcorn, candy, and ice cream. Attendees could also bring their own food and beverages, making it a truly inclusive experience. The gates opened at 5:45 p.m. with the movie starting at 6:30 p.m. allowing ample time for socializing and enjoying the scenic surroundings.

Larry Whitley, who attended with his family, shared his enthusiasm for the event. “We want to make it an annual tradition for us if it keeps going,” he said, recalling the joy of last year’s screening of Lilo & Stitch. This year, the animated film Goat about a goat with dreams of playing professional “roarball,” captivated the audience.
The event was a melting pot of friendships and new connections. Justina Martin and Genevieve Comeau, who met while working at Northwestern, reunited with their families. Erika Johnston and her husband, David Boyce, attended for the first time, drawn by the beautiful night and the unique experience. “It’s a beautiful night,” Johnston remarked, capturing the essence of the evening.
